At the customer’s request, we cover the entire process chain and support you from the first design to the final casting.

We are happy to provide advice during product development:

Wall thickness analysis of the casting,
Identification and development of possible optimization potentials regarding the casting requirements,
Demoldability (undercuts, radii, draft angles),
Consideration of the trimming processes, including punching or machining,
Consideration of trim ribs, feeder bands, and ejector bosses,
Avoiding bad steel condition in the tool.

CONSTRUCTION

We create our 3D tool designs in close coordination with our customers. A strong team of 15 designers with experience in die casting ensures that your molds are equipped with the best solutions, thus bringing you closer to the goal of 100% quality with the shortest cycle time and a trouble-free mold.

We create your designs either in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX.

ENGINEERING

The entire process chain in view

We have many years of process know-how from part development to the final processing of a die-cast part. The knowledge of the individual phases of the process flows into every work step in the creation of a die-casting mold.

We are happy to provide advice during product development

Wall thickness analysis of the casting,
Identification and elaboration of possible optimization potentials with regard to the casting requirements,
Demouldability (undercuts, roundings, draft angles),
Consideration of the separation processes, including slide separations,
Separation processes taking into account punch deburring,
Consideration of punching ribs, flow aids, ejector eyes,
Avoiding weak points on the tool.

SIMULATION & FEM CALCULATIONS

Simulation & FEM Calculations

With over 25 years of experience, we conduct in-house filling, solidification, and cycle simulations with two experienced engineers. Evaluating the results provides valuable information for optimizing part geometry during the development phase.

Our goals:

Development of the optimal runner, gating and venting concept
Cost optimization through efficient use of materials
Development of the cooling system to achieve the required part quality and optimal cycle time
The molds are designed for optimal strength and material efficiency while minimizing tool deflection.

Aufgrund steigender Gussteilabrufe in immer kürzer werdenden Zeiträumen, ist in der Werkzeuginstandhaltung oft Geschwindigkeit und Flexibilität in Verbindung mit hoher Qualität gefragt. Unser Serviceangebot umfasst daher

Schnelle und kurzfristige Einsätze direkt beim Kunden vor Ort,
Schnelle und kurzfristige Werkzeugwartung und Reparaturen in unserem Werkzeugbau,
Vorbeugende und geplante Werkzeugwartungen,

Spare parts management through series production

In order to keep series production and the required casting part qualities stable, spare parts management is playing an increasingly important role.

Among other things, we offer:

Ready-to-install and measured rotary cores with and without milling contours,
Ready-to-install and measured jet-cooled cores and inserts,
Ready-to-install and measured contour inserts,
Ready-to-install and measured main inserts and slide valve attachments,
If required, coatings according to specific customer requirements of all components,
Norm and standard parts such as ejectors, sleeves, jet-cooling units, etc.

Tool sampling

In order to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the tools before delivery to our customers, we have the ability and the know-how to carry out tool sampling independently or together with our customers if required.

For this purpose we have at our disposal:

Several long-term partnerships with access to DG machine sizes from 1,200 – 4,200 tons clamping force,
Casting of aluminium and magnesium castings,
Wide range of aluminium and magnesium alloys according to customer requirements,
Access to X-ray systems, crack detection capabilities, spectral analysis, etc.

EMPB creation

At the customer’s request, we can prepare initial sample test reports in-house and make them available in documentation.

For this purpose we have at our disposal:

3 qualified measuring technicians in 2-shift operation
Zeiss Prismo for precise, tactile measurement
Three optical measuring systems from GOM (2x Atos Scanner, 1x Tritop)
Air-conditioned measuring room
Preparation of test reports according to VDA 2
